Lymewood is situated on a hillside of beautiful valley overlooking the village of Uplyme on the Dorset/Devon border. Lyme Regis, a seaside resort, two miles away, can be seen from the home, and on a clear day Portland Bill is visible.

The home is a beautiful Victorian listed building with attractive gardens of some two acres. All rooms are fully furnished to an excellent standards and residents are welcome to bring their own furniture and personal effects.

The home is registered for 37 clients and has 29 bedrooms, the majority being single, but some are twin bedded for those who prefer to share.

All staff are trained to strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all residents within a warm and caring atmosphere and in doing so will be sensitive to the residents' ever changing needs.

We encourage resident's family, relative and friends to visit the residents regularly and maintain contact by letter or telephone when visiting is not possible. Visitors are also encouraged to join in activities taking place within the home when visiting.
