Reformed in 1981 after a lapse of thirty years, The Lyme Regis Town Band has established itself as an integral part of the town’s social life. From an original 14 members it has now grown to a full Concert Entertainment Band of 30 players (plus a learner group).

The main work of the band is in the summer month, when the musicians play several times a week to entertain the tourists and locals alike at various locations in the area The most popular of these is the Marine Parade Lyme Regis where, on Tuesday evenings from July to September, the Band presents a series of Concerts, which over the years has proved to be enormously popular. On a fine summer’s evening these often attract several hundred people.
