The Mariners Hotel is situated in the heart of Lyme Regis, which lies at the mouth of the River Lym, on the South West Coast of Dorset. Surrounded by rich countryside, it has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and the spectacular Jurassic coastline has been awarded World Heritage Site status, making it a popular destination for all kinds of visitors.

The hotel itself is a 17th Century building, once home to the Philpot sisters, who are well known for their fossil hunting in the area, the Philpot museum in Lyme was given in honour of the sisters. It has also been scheduled as 'of historic interest' and was immortalised by Beatrix Potter in the 'Tale of Little Pig Robinson'.

Whether you are looking for the perfect holiday in Britain, or a short summer or weekend break, accommodation at the Mariners Hotel can offer you comfort, choice and an excellent restaurant menu of fine food and wine. The Mariners Hotel has 12 en suite bedrooms, and offers bed and breakfast as well as longer term accommodation, perfect for touring Dorset and the South West.

With sea views from the Mariners Hotel garden and also from many of the guest rooms, this comfortable Lyme Regis hotel offers you flexibility whether you are looking for a relaxing seaside break, activity or family holiday.

You can also dine in our newly refurbished restaurant, open to both residents and non residents, where you can enjoy a relaxing candlelit dinner looking over Lyme Bay. We have a fantastic new menu available and can cater for specific dietary requirements.  Alternatively we have a great bar menu available in the bar lounge, which looks out over Lyme.
