Continually delighted
Reviewed by mattearley, 2006-10-05 13:28:12

I have just returned from my third visit to Charmouth/Lyme Regis area and each time I have stayed at the Fernhill hotel. I am continually delighted by this "find" and it amazes me how much work they continue to do on it.
I have stayed in 3 different rooms, all have had fantastic views and lovely ensuite bathrooms.
On each occasion I have had treatments from the genial host Wendy which all helps to relax me after the drive down from London.
I can only add that the cooking and wine selections have always been top draw and I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather stay in the Lyme Regis area.
Miss it at your peril......

Holiday at Fernhill Hotel
Reviewed by Annie, 2006-09-27 13:06:43

My husband and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Fernhill Hotel. This is what we wrote in the visitor's book – "The food was fantastic, the bed most comfortable, the spring watered, sun drenched swimming pool one of the best I have swum in and the hospitality and kindness of all the staff unequalled – and this from a very fussy person. Thank you for a lovely stay."
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and due to a lot of food allergies this is one of the only hotels I have stayed in that met all my dietry needs. We will definitely be returning there again and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Overpriced and uncomfortable
Reviewed by Jonathan, 2006-09-24 16:08:22

£120 for a room that could have graced an average Blackpool B&B says it all. Two poor nights sleep from an awful mattress were rescued by the stunning dorset coastline.

Food overpriced and overcooked. Very little to commend this establishment.
