Dorset Fire and Rescue Service is run by the Dorset Fire Authority.

We have a total of 26 fire stations, 3 of which are staffed purely by wholetime, 4 are staffed by wholetime and retained, 1 is staffed by day duty and retained and the remaining 18 are staffed wholly by retained. Visit our Local Stations page for more information.

Lyme Regis is a retained station and their drill night is Monday.

A collaborative project to provide the Fire, Police and Ambulance Services with joint operational facilities for Lyme Regis was completed in May 2004. The scheme involved the alteration and adaption of the existing fire station to provide modern operational facilities for fire and police whilst ambulance crews have access to the new building's rest and welfare accommodation. The new building was funded by all three emergency services.
